Vikram Budhraja
Mr. Budhraja heads Electric Power Group as its President. He was formerly at Edison International in senior executive positions, including: President, Edison Technology Solutions; Senior Vice President and Head of Power Grid Business Unit, Southern California Edison; Vice President, System Planning, Fuels and Operations, Southern California Edison. Mr. Budhraja has extensive experience in power systems planning and operations, electric industry restructuring, reliability management, new ventures and technologies.

Ken Martin
Ken Martin has over 30 years of experience in the electric utility industry, most recently as a Principal Engineer at the Bonneville Power Administration. He has extensive experience with SCADA and time-synchronized phasor data collection and use, including collection, system communications, system architecture and design, and applications for protection, control, monitoring, data management and display. Ken’s work covers instrumentation and measurement systems for research, test, validation, and controls, including development of imbedded microprocessor systems, automated measurement systems with remote controls, and diverse communication systems.

Jim Dyer
Jim Dyer was formerly Manager of System Operation and Energy Control Center, Southern California Edison. He led his Edison team to implement Independent System Operator and Power Exchange structure. Jim has extensive experience in WECC and NERC on operations, transmission, reliability, and dispatch. He has led assessments of ISO design and operations, transmission bottlenecks, and reliability standards and metrics.

John Ballance
John Ballance was formerly Director of Engineering and Planning at Southern California Edison. Prior assignments included Manager of Grid Dispatch and Operations and Manager of System Operations. John led teams that were responsible for designing and implementing the market and operations portions of the CAISO. John has extensive experience in WECC on operations, transmission, reliability, and dispatch.

Bharat Bhargava
Bharat Bhargava was formerly with Southern California Edison. Bharat has extensive experience in Research, System Planning, Engineering and Operation of Electric Power Systems. Since 1995, Bharat led SCE’s research initiative on Synchronized Phasor Measurement system and established a Situational Awareness and Analysis Center at SCE in November 2008. Bharat is a recognized expert in use of synchrophasor technology for real time monitoring and data analysis, off-line event analysis, data management and synchrophasor applications. Bharat also Chaired the WECC Disturbance Monitoring Working Group and WECC SVC Task Force.

Simon Mo
Jianzhong (Simon) Mo is an expert in visualization technologies, computer graphics and applications development. Simon is currently working on Consortium for Electric Reliability Technology Solutions research on applications for reliability and real-time performance monitoring.

Frank Carrera
Frank Carrera is an expert on databases and applications development. He developed Suppliers Performance Monitoring system using the CAISO PI system, and the NERC-CERTS ACE-Frequency Monitoring application.

Ben Xiao
Ben Xiao is a computer software engineering and is responsible for the application development at EPG. He has been involved in the development of ACE-Frequency Monitoring, Alarm and Event processor, Frequency data collection and Analysis System.

Ajay Das
Ajay Das is responsible for research, design and development of software applications at EPG. He has been involved in the development of ACE-Frequency Monitoring, Inadvertent Interchange Monitoring, Frequency Data Collection and Analysis. He has extensive experience in computer aided design and analysis, 2D/3D modeling and simulation and data-centered graphics and visualization systems.

Mark Woodall
Mark Woodall has been working in the area of voltage stability analysis and utilization of synchrophasor data for event analysis. Mark is also responsible for EPG’s Phasor Grid Dynamics Analyzer (PGDA) which enables engineers to utilize archived synchrophasor data to analyze power system events and performance of the power grid.

Vivek Bhaman
Mr. Bhaman is the General Manager of EPG’s Phasor Solutions. He has managed business units and led technology organizations globally, including Hewlett Packard, VeriFone, Unique Business Systems. Mr. Bhaman brings the experience and expertise of deploying new technology solutions, as well as managing multi-million dollar software projects including those at NETS (Network for Electronic Transfers, Singapore), Walt Disney World, Southern California Edison Company and Cabcharge Asia-Pacific.

Kevin Chen
Kevin Chen is an Engineer and joined EPG after his completion of graduate school at University of Wisconsin-Madison with specialization in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems). At EPG he is working on research and development regarding advanced visualization and user interface of the Real Time Dynamics Monitoring System, provides support associated with the analysis and monitoring tools for the North American SynchroPhasor Initiative, and conducts event analysis utilizing synchrophasor data for Eastern Interconnection of U.S. power grid.

Xiaoyong Su
Dr. Su has more than 10 years of experience on applications and solutions development. He has extensive experience on data capture, analysis, and visualization. He is also an expert on wireless application, networking and security. He is working on power system visualization and analysis at EPG.

Uday Kumar Kothapa
Uday Kumar Kothapa is an Engineer and has a Master‘s of Science in Information Systems and Management, Master‘s in Business Administration and is a certified Microsoft professional. Uday has over 11 years of experience in Client/Server application development, web-based application development and Systems Management. At EPG, Uday led the development of Intelligent Synchrophasor Gateway (ISG), which allows third-party access without connecting directly with the database. This middleware solution provides authentication capability and services can be consumed over Internet or Intranet. Prior to joining EPG, Uday worked for a variety of companies to design, develop and deploy state of the art mission-critical applications, including systems dedicated for real-time forex trading.

Prashant Palayam
Prashant Palayam is an Engineer and joined EPG after his completion of graduate school in Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago with specialization in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems). He has been involved in ERCOT Interconnection baselining Studies and PMU data quality. He is leading EPG‘s Phasor Grid Dynamics Analyzer development.
